HVAC Training Schools in Georgia

If you live in the state of Georgia, there are plenty of institutions that offer you HVAC training programs, degrees and certificates. By becoming certified and getting your EPA license, you will be able to greatly increase your chances of getting hired in the HVAC field. As a graduate of one of these programs, you can expect to get entry level positions working as a maintenance technician, installers helper, dispatcher, warehouse or purchasing department, sales and parts. The average salary for HVAC technicians in the state of Georgia is $47,000 annually. This is averaged through all technicians from refrigeration, commercial, to residential. This will of course depend on what company you work for, how much experience you have, and how quickly and efficiently you can troubleshoot and make repairs to HVAC equipment.

Upon completion of an HVAC training program in Georgia, you should have a general understanding of safety procedures, recovery laws pertaining to different types of refrigerants, basic electricity, reading blue prints, heating and cooling systems, ventilation and airflow, along with how to use basic HVAC tools such as using cutting torches to solder copper fittings and joints.
